You Deserve The Best

Here’s a blast from the past… I found some old film in our grad office and used it to photograph a quote taken from a pyramid scam website in the studio. I intended for the background to be black and used a zoomed in/upward-panning of the camera to creating the neat streaky effect. Well, come to find out the film had already been shot by some former ECU grads… that’s Ben Lustig in the middle, Aspen Hochhalter on the right and I assume Antonio Martinez is making the image??

I’m really excited about these images. It’s a collision of two moments, two photographers and two separate ideas… this may take some time to deconstruct…

Knife addition…

I just finished up a bunch of (Don’t) Turn Your Back on Worries posters —this summer they went like hot-cakes because I pretty much gave them away. Will post images tomorrow.

I’m thinking about changing the text to include the “Don’t” because otherwise it’s a bit mysterious and not direct enough for me. I want the viewer to know it’s not okay to turn cheek in sight of worries in culture. Apathy wines and dines tyranny, right?

the knife needs a title...

Turn Your Back on Worries at Eckhaus Gallery this Fall....I think the knife needs a title.
